During Prohibition, Charles “Lucky” Luciano gains power in the New York underworld. In the 1920s, violence reigns in the streets of New York. Since alcohol is forbidden, moonshine and smuggling result in lucrative business for the mafia. Two Bosses Masseria and Maranzano start an all-out turf war, known as the Castellammarese War, and Luciano plans to kill them both. They die in quick succession, and in less than five months, Lucky has just taken out the two biggest mob bosses and becomes the king of New York.
