BBC - October Ten Days that Shook the World (1928)

An epic masterpiece of silent cinema, sanctioned by the Bolsheviks to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Russian Revolution of October 1917. It serves as a record of the ten dramatic days in which the Bolsheviks brought down the government and stormed the tsar's Winter Palace, and employs a cast of thousands in its recreation. This is a re-edited version with a soundtrack by Dimitri Shostakovich.
