Chapter 1 Frankfurt

Beginning with the theft of JMW Turner's Shade and Darkness and Light and Colour in 1994 from the Schirn gallery in Frankfurt. The paintings were on loan from the London's Tate and the invetsigation into the heist led to a high-stakes game of cat and mouse across Europe, from London to Belgrade deep into the world of Serbian warlords.

Chapter 2 Stockholm

In December 2000, Renoir's Conversation and Jeune Parisienne and a Rembrandt self-portrait from 1630 were stolen at gunpoint from Stockholm's National Museum, with the three paintings valued at more more than ?40million. The subsequent hunt for the culprits took investigators on a complex hunt from Russian-organised crime to the glittering hills of Hollywood involving charismatic FBI agents.

Chapter 3 Oslo

A look at the police investigation into the theft of Edvard Munch paintings The Scream and Madonna from Oslo's Munch Museum in June 2004, which revealed the lengths criminals will go to gain a get-out-of-jail card for murder.
