BBC Timewatch - QE2 The Final Voyage (2009)

Timewatch joins the crew and passengers on board Britain's favourite ship as the QE2 leaves Southampton for the last time and glides gracefully into retirement.

In 1967 a newly-built ship launched a remarkable love story. The QE2 captured the heart of the nation and became a Great British icon. In her 40 years in service, the world's most famous cruise liner has sailed more than five and a half million miles, carried more than two and a half million passengers and crossed the Atlantic a staggering 800 times. She has also survived terrorist threats and war.
