Granada Television - Don't Knock the Rock (1964)

Vintage rock'n'roll is back in a nostalgic montage of two great classic music shows recorded in Granada's studios in 1963, when these rock'n'roll originals dominated the music scene; the names are legendary, the music stunning and the atmosphere electric. The songs have since become rock standards. JERRY LEE LEWIS sings 'Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On', 'High School Confidential' and 'Great Balls of Fire', GENE VINCENT sings 'Be Bop A Lula', LITTLE RICHARD sings 'Long Tall Sally', 'Lucille', 'Hound Dog', and 'Good Golly Miss Molly'. The show features the first-ever television appearances of two groups who made their name in the sixties - SOUNDS INCORPORATED and THE ANIMALS, with ERIC BURDEN singing and ALAN PRICE on the organ.
