Part 3 Jaws of the Enemy

The Americans go on the offensive attacking Guadalcanal. Initially the victory is overwhelming, but the Japanese counter-attack results in the first direct hit the Enterprise had suffered. In the summer of 1942, the American Navy is finally on the offensive. The first strike is in the Solomon Islands, North of Australia. Enterprise supports the first American Invasion of WWII as U.S. Marines storm ashore at Guadalcanal. The Japanese strike back with a vengeance and in a brutal slugfest in the Eastern Solomons, the Enterprise suffers its worst battle damage yet.
