Wingsuit Daredevil

Wingsuit Daredevil is the story of Jeb Corliss, an American wingsuit flyer who took on the ultimate challenge of flying through a cave. Starting out in skydiving and base jumping, the adrenaline junkie from the states has flown from, under and around some of the world’s greatest landmarks, including; Paris’ Eiffel Tower, Seattle’s Space Needle, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janiero, and the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This documentary shows how, with the help of Red Bull and a group of like-minded enthusiasts, Jeb took on one of the most dangerous flight paths imaginable at Heaven’s Gate in China. With the eyes of the world on him, Corliss jumps from a helicopter and navigates through the 100 feet wide hole in the mountain side. Wingsuit Daredevil explores the motivations of wingsuit flyers as well as the practical difficulties involved, such as unwieldy suits, parachutes getting stuck in trees and flight times for the helicopter. The lush green forest and misty mountains are as tempting as a tourist draw as they are for the Red Bull wingsuit team who go there to skim the cliffs. As a result, the pilots must negotiate crowds and holidaymakers in their search for a timely take-off and a safe landing.
